Our comparison looks at 3 different hotels, a small hotel (150 rooms), a medium sized hotel (300 rooms) and a large hotel (500 rooms). We have also considered 3 different scenarios where between 30-40% of rooms use the robots for services from F&B delivery, takeout delivery, guiding guests to their rooms, delivering VIP items or toiletries. These scenarios compared using a staff member on minimum wage for the same job.

Middle Scenario

Large hotels can expect to save around £18,629 a year, however when combined with their room service F&B services this could also significantly increase revenues for the hotel.

Medium sized hotels can expect to directly save £7,814.

Small hotels can expect a cost of £297. Although the comparison shows a small net cost, these locations probably don’t have to staff available to perform 24/7 room service or to act as couriers for items.

The use of our robot also creates the opportunity to create new services, such as guiding guests to their rooms and providing gifts and welcome packages. It also reduces repetitive tasks by up to 90% and frees up employees’ time to perform higher value customer facing tasks.

Our robot removes the need for food couriers to enter the hotel, creating a more secure environment and providing a new revenue stream from F&B. Any direct costs would be easily eclipsed by indirect revenues, customer satisfaction and staff productivity improvements. Prohibitively expensive minibars could instead be replaced with much more affordable items sold from a kitchen or central inventory, helping to boost sales and providing more value to customers.

Ultimately, our robots can improve brand image, increase customer and staff satisfaction and improve your bottom line - they are an indispensable part of your hotels service offering.

Calculation Breakdown
The cost per hour servicing deliveries for one Inherent Robot is calculated by taking into account the following components: Original cost per hour + Cost of running

Original cost per hour for the Inherent Robot was given as £0.96 (£700/730 hours in one month).

Cost of running is 0.448kWh, with an electricity cost of £0.24 per kWh, the cost of charging the battery once is 0.448kWh × £0.24 = £0.1075

We assumed that the battery would need charging once every two days however it is likely to be less. Therefore the cost per hour would be (£0.1075 × 0.5) / 24 hours = £0.0022

Our occupancy rate is a statistic from April 2024 provided by Visit England for London of 74%.
